The Saudi Press Agency reported that King Salman would receive antibiotics at the Al Salam Palace in Jeddah
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler of the kingdom, has cancelled his planned visit to Japan following fears about his ailing father’s health, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
According to the SPA reports, the 88-year-old King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, is suffering from lung inflammation, and he’s receiving treatment in the kingdom.
Japan’s top government spokesperson Yoshimasa Hayashi has confirmed reports of the cancellation of the Saudi Crown Prince’s planned four-day visit to Japan, which would have been his first to the Asian country since 2019.
Besides Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and the country’s emperor, the Saudi Crown Prince was also slated to meet representatives of several Japanese companies and sign deals to bolster supply chains for liquid hydrogen, news outlets reported.
The Saudi Press Agency reported Sunday that King Salman would receive antibiotics at the Al Salam Palace in Jeddah.
King Salman, who has been reigning since 2015, served as Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2022.
