Trump declared that Ohio senator JD Vance will be his running mate for vice president
It’s official now. Donald Trump is the presidential candidate of the US Republican Party.
At its national convention Monday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the US Republican Party formally nominated Donald Trump as its candidate for president.
At the party convention, which started just two days after a shocking nationwide attempt on Trump’s life, delegates voted for Trump with the required majority.
Party members from all 50 states and six territories are sent as delegates to the nominating convention. They formally proclaim their support for the presidential candidate of their party based on the outcomes of the primary elections held in their state or territory.
Meanwhile, just moments ago, Trump declared that Ohio senator JD Vance will be his running mate for vice president.
