The fan had reportedly sent ‘abusive’ messages to the actor’s friend
Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, one of the rising stars of Kannada film, and his companion Pavithra Gowda were taken into custody on Tuesday in connection with the recent murder of a 33-year-old man in Bengaluru.
Renukaswamy, a fan of the actor and a resident of Chitradurga district, has been named as the victim.
According to Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda, Darshan was displeased with Renukaswamy for allegedly sending Pavithra “abusive comments and messages” on Instagram, based on their preliminary findings.
A body was discovered in a sewer by a security guard at an apartment complex in Bengaluru, and on June 9, the community called the police.
Four individuals showed up at the scene of the crime while police were filing a murder case and attempting to identify the body.
