Monday, 6th July 2022, was a special day for students of schools and colleges in Delhi as well as their parents. For, most schools in the national capital reopened for students of classes 9 to 12 after a fresh surge in Covid cases, mainly led by the new Omicron variant, has forced their closure in December 2021.
However, some schools were still working out modalities like consent of parents, transport availability etc., media reports said quoting news agency.
Sanitisation and security measures and all protocols are in place for the returning students and staff.
Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi chief minister, shared pictures on social media of children being welcomed at different schools, the media reports added.
